Municipal Sewage Treatment Plant

UEM implemented a 105 MLD Average Flow / 285 MLD Peak Flow, Sewage Treatment Plant for MHES Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia. This plant serves a population of 380,000 PE.

The basic scheme incorporates a Raw Sewage Pumping station, Mechanical Screening, Grit Removal, Primary Clarifiers (3 Nos., each 38 M diameter) with raw sludge transfer pumps, an Activated Sludge Treatment system consisting of Anoxic Tanks (3 Nos 45 M x 27.5 M x 5.0 M), Aeration Tanks (3 Nos 45 M x 82.5 M x 5.0 M), Secondary Clarifiers (3 Nos 43 M Diameter each), and Anaerobic sludge digesters (4 Nos 30 M Diameter each), a Gas Mixing System, a Gas Holder with floating gas dome, Excess sludge dewatering with Belt Filter Press and PLC for the automatic operation of the plant.
