Acrylic Fiber Manufacturing Unit Effluent Treatment System

Pasupati Acrylon Ltd. has put up a unit in Thakurdwara, Distt. Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh to manufacture Acrylic Fiber. Dalal Consultants & Engineers Ltd. were appointed as Project Consultants for the Effluent Treatment System.

UEM was successful in securing this prestigious ETP System order after critical scrutiny of various techno-commercial bids and executed the same up to the overall satisfaction of client and consultants. This plant has been achieving the guaranteed final BOD levels of less than 30 mg/l and COD levels of less than 250 mg/l since its installation several years ago.

The effluent treatment system was designed for an effluent flow rate of 1,827 M3/day with a BOD of 2,200 mg/l and a COD of 2,600 mg/l. Additionally, effluent treatment system was designed for a high concentration of nitrogen. The treatment system incorporates an Equalization Tank, a Nitrification / Denitrification Tank, Aeration Tanks, a Clarifier, a Sludge Thickener and a Centrifuge for sludge dewatering.
